The Basics
My name is Krista Engler and I’m a freelance Art Director, Graphic Designer and Developer living in Charleston, SC. I was born on the North Carolina coast and raised on a steady diet of cornbread and collard greens. I attended Appalachian State University in the remote mountain town of Boone, NC where I received a BFA in Graphic Design. My education at AppState was primarily in print, which has given me a unique perspective on design for the web.
I’m happily married to a hobbit of a man named Chris who is also a designer. We currently reside in a cute 1940′s bungalow in Charleston, SC with our two furr-children, and an ever-growing collection of screen printed posters, records, cameras, video games and seashells.
Outside of my nine-to-five I enjoy taking photographs, working on custom typography, listening to music, and baking delicious treats. I have an affinity for the beach, submarines, cephalopods (squid in particular), space, The Love Language and Battlefield 3.
